-Boys Don't Cry-

Emma

The baby girl born from Melanie that is quickly placed upon the shoulders of Dante, her father. She is a catalyst, speeding up the development of Dante as a character, ripping him of any real dreams he had of post A-level life though also providing him with the position that forced him to come to terms with who he is and how he should act.

Being the unknowing child that effectively spins the whole narrative into play, she is comparable to an object of change for the characters around her. She represents the power of a child to their parents and how they frequently force the parents into a painful but ultimately beneficial journey of change.
