The mother of Estella who lives at Satis Manor who has certain eccentric qualities, such as constantly wearing a wedding dress, keeping all her clocks at twenty-to-nine, and also preserving a feast on her table. It turns out that she was left at the altar by Compeyson and, due to this, harbours a hatred for men and thus trains her daughter, Estella, to treat men coldly in order to play with their emotions.
