-Heroes-

Chapter 10

We are then brought to another memory of Francis’, after his injuries. He recalls how, on leave in London, his appearance would frighten others, especially children, and he even sees the frightening visage for himself in a reflection. This inspires him to shroud his appearance.

Francis looks in the mirror in the present moment and feels it isn’t he who is looking back, but a stranger. He thinks about his wounds and their healing process but he also tells himself that it doesn’t matter as he intends to commit suicide after killing Larry. He then sets about to destroy all possible ways in which he could improve in order to make him stick to his plans.
