Paddy’s older brother, real name being Francis, who subverts expectations by being an absent supportive role. Instead of aiding Paddy and showing concern when his parents begin to fight more often, he shuts down and denies it even occurring. 

He also attempts to play down the severity of it. Paddy often tries to get closer to his brother but Sinbad doesn’t allow it, serving as a role of the child that buries his head in the sand when their parents fight.
