The parents of Paddy. We see, through Paddy’s memory, that the two used to get along well but the tensions grew steadily and the pair’s spats grew more and more violent as each day passed by. Soon, Paddy’s father began to physically abuse his wife, an event that confused Paddy as he could not understand how those he loved may hate each other. Mr. Clarke eventually leaves his family and Paddy has to assume a role of authority as Sinbad is not up to the position.
