A pathetic and idiotic man, unnamed, that joins the narrator during the peak of the invasion. He displays little care for the narrator, constantly placing them in harm’s way due to his inability to keep quiet around the Martians, and his selfish ways often rob the pair of well-planned rationing. His fate is sealed when he suddenly starts screaming, attracting the Martians that inevitably drag him away.
